just how long
people other than yourself
carry the consequences
of your actions.
you left me
after a month of complete silence
and moved on with your life
like i was merely a speed bump
that kept you from living
your best life.
but
i haven’t forgotten a single conversation.
not one word.
and it’s because i replay them all
in my head
when i try to convince myself
that you cared about me.
