It doesn’t matter,
you know?
None of it.
Not the cars,
or the glamour,
hell,
not even the money.
It’s all part of the Great Illusion,
don’t you see?
Take it all of it away
and what do you have?
Show me the depth of your character;
not your wallet.
Show me the strength of your heart;
not the horsepower in your expensive car.
You wonder why you are so unhappy
and yet you are blind
to the very things that cause you to be ill.
But I cannot teach that to you, friend.
Lessons of the soul can only be taught to you
by you.
I fear I may have met you
too early.

Love it! The truth without varnish. And. I love you! Gram
