Unforseen

I have a difficult time
grasping the possibility
of free will.
Imagine
a just
and noble God.
Omnipotent
in all things.
Rather
than force his followers
to believe blindly
he offers them
free will;
the choice
to choose.
Belief
or disbelief.
Now,
his followers believe
that they have the ability
to choose.
Or so they think.
Surely,
this is false.
For this god,
in all his power
and glory
already knows
who
and who will not
believe in him
at their death.
Therefore,
his followers
are offered
the illusion
of free will.
If this god already knows
who will die
with faith in him
and who will not
then free will is not necessary.
However,
if
by offering his subjects
free will
he loses the ability
to know our fate,
what then?
What does it all
mean?
